Karma is a Gift

I hope you are all doing well. Things here are good. I am getting close to settling on a place to teach which is making me very excited to teach again. So I decided to film a short 20 minute flow and post it to my Youtube page. The link is below if you feel like checking it out. In it I share my mindful message for the week which I will share with you here as well. 

We often hear the statement, “Karma’s a bitch”. That phrase seems to be our way of seeing justice done when someone has done something wrong. I have been thinking a lot about that phrase lately and I truly prefer to look at Karma as a gift. Both in our bodies and in our lives, our actions in the past create our present and our actions today create our future. 

I have been blessed to have already met some very nice, kind people in my new home. I like to think a little part of that has to do with the kindness I have shown others in the past. This is the gift of Karma and such a powerful reminder that nothing matters more than our actions in this moment. Those actions have the power to affect our future in a powerful way. This brings me to my favorite quote “There is no power on earth greater than the right action in the present moment.”– Vashishtha

I have been connecting with the “gift of Karma” mostly through the practice of gratitude. Gratitude helps us remember all of the positive karma in our lives and reminds us that in this present moment we can cultivate more gifts in the future.
