Grounding into Practice

I hope you are all well. It has been a busy, fun and exciting couple of weeks for me with special visitors (my god daughter and her parents), a trip to Disney World and then to Mallorca, Spain.
When we step out of our normal routine it is interesting what can happen. For myself, I am definitely a routine girl. I have spent a large part of the last year working to establish new routines because I know that helps me feel more grounded. I know that one of the things that helps me stay grounded when I am not in my routine is to explore different meditation techniques.
I found myself several times on this trip using my breath, following sound and playing with walking meditation as attempts to stay present with my family in beautiful surroundings and a hectic schedule. Even taking a few moments of stillness at a monastery we hiked to (picture above) offered me the chance to be more present. It is a practice and when we practice we get better at connecting to the power we have to find that grounding no matter where we are.
